What data we process and why
When you contact us
When you email us, we process your name, email address and anything you include in your message. We use this only to reply to you and, if we start working together, to prepare and carry out our agreement. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your message, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We keep correspondence for as long as necessary for these purposes. If your message leads to an assignment, we keep the related records for seven years, as required by Dutch tax law. Our email is hosted by Google.
Website statistics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use this website: for example which pages are visited, how visitors find the site, which device and browser they use and their approximate location (country or city). This helps us improve the website. Google Analytics only places cookies after you give consent in the cookie banner; the legal basis is your consent. Without your consent, Google only receives a basic signal without cookies or identifiers (Google Consent Mode).
With your consent, Google Analytics places cookies (see below). Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. The data is processed by Google Ireland Limited and may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Statistics are kept for a maximum of 14 months.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on to stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits.
Cookie banner (Finsweet Consent Pro)
We use Finsweet Consent Pro to ask for and remember your cookie choices. Your choices are stored in a cookie on your device (see below). To be able to show that consent was given, Consent Pro also keeps a record of your choice: a random ID, the choices you made, the date and time, the page and the text of the banner. Finsweet acts as a processor on our behalf. The legal basis is our legal obligation to be able to demonstrate consent.
Hosting and content delivery
This website is hosted by Netlify, and its content and images are delivered by Sanity. To deliver the website securely, these providers process technical data such as your IP address and browser information in server logs. They act as processors on our behalf. Fonts are hosted on our own server; we do not use external font services.
Cookies
This website uses the following cookies:
- fs-consent (necessary): remembers your cookie choices, so the banner does not appear on every visit. Expires after 1 year.
- _ga (analytics, only with your consent): distinguishes visitors from one another. Expires after 2 years.
- _ga_<ID> (analytics, only with your consent): keeps track of your session. Expires after 2 years.
Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with the service providers mentioned above, who process it on our behalf, or when we are legally required to do so.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, email lars@flowdough.nl. We will respond within one month.
If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. This website is only available over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
